Today I want to talk about Kombucha. That is obviously entirely unrelated to these Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I understand you won't obey.

Allow me to begin by stating that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water every morning to reduce inflammation or something like that.

He claims it's magical. I claim it is nasty.

While I understand this will seem dramatic (because it is), I actually dry heave at the sight and odor of the early ritual on a daily basis. He loves that around me.

Based upon this response, one would feel I would stay far away from Kombucha, right? I suggest, after all, it definitely comes with a vinegary tang.

However, for some reason, I continue trying it. I Wish to like it SO DANG BAD.

They have the ideal amount of banana flavor and a lovely chewy feel because of the oats. The chocolate chips are just an extra bonus.

These Banana Oatmeal Cookies possess a soft, buttery feel. If you're searching for a standard oatmeal cookie, then this is not the cookie cutter you're searching for. If you are not a fan of oatmeal biscuits my favorite chocolate chip biscuits, you could just become your new fave.

I like these biscuits a little about the undercooked side, so that I inhale them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you prefer them to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 seconds.

I will mention that the oats makes them look like a breakfast cookie, therefore they are all sorts of amazing with a cup of coffee or tea first thing in the morning.

I'd add some chopped walnuts into a batch rather than chocolate chips, but everybody definitely chosen the chocolate chips on the nuts.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES

YIELD: about 30 biscuits PREP TIME: 10 minnutes COOK TIME: 10 minutes

PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

3/4 cup mashed ripe additional resources bananas (about 2 medium)

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup pops flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon





DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.



Scrape the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl again and add in the mashed bananas and vanilla.



Gently add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just blended.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.



Use a medium cookie scoop (approximately 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then lightly press on the shirts of each cookie using the base of a drinking glass. Considering these cookies don't spread much, this will give them a conventional cookie shape.
